W e are thrilled to share the great news of another successful semester at the University of Alabama. We boast an active Chapter of more than 130 young men, including 46 associate members learning about what it truly means to be a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. The associate members have only been enrolled in college for a short time, but four of them have already been recognized and selected to serve in the Student Government Association's First Year Council. Also, one of our active brothers, Ross D'Entremont, AF1786, wrote and received a grant to fight drug abuse on our campus. In addition to the individual accomplishments of our brothers and new members, the Chapter House itself has gotten a few upgrades internally. The main social room in the house where many brothers spend their time received a full renovation, including new flooring, furniture, and tables. The sound system inside the house also received a makeover. Updated customized shutters were installed on the exterior of the Chapter House. None of these renovations would have been possible without the generosity and support of our House Corporation. Lastly, I would like to personally thank all of the alumni and their family members who attended the centennial celebration in September. I really enjoyed getting to meet brothers from all over the country who traveled to Tuscaloosa for the event. It was a very neat experience seeing brothers who had not seen or been in contact with each other in many years interact as if they had not gone a week without speaking. It truly shows that the bond of brotherhood in Lambda Chi Alpha is unlike any other. A special thanks is in order for all those who helped to coordinate and plan the entire weekend.
