Attendees are asked to pre-regis- ter for this workshop to enable us to provide the number of chairs and materials for handouts. These gen- tlemen are traveling from Tucson to present this program and we want to be set up to provide the best envi- ronment to benefit both attendees and our presenters. We will be dancing to "Skyhawk." You may have danced to Skyhawk at the senior center or at the QIA in past seasons. On November 15th, 1937, Al Capp brought this American folk event to light in his Li'l Abner strip. "Sadie Hawkins was "the homeliest gal in the hills" who grew tired of waiting for the fellows to come a courtin'. On Satie Hawkins day, unmarried gals pursued the town's bachelors, with matrimony the consequence." Nowadays, it is an excuse to dress like some of our favorite Li'l Ab- ner characters, ask someone to the dance, and just have a good time. Matrimony? Well… who knows. Tickets are $5 at the door.
