Chapter Looks Forward to Continued Success
A
lpha Sigma Chapter took another healthy step forward. We are glad that all the hard
work we put into aggressive recruitment strategies paid off. With the help of all the
undergraduates and colony development consultant Alek Thibodeaux, Alpha Omicron '16,
we have achieved an associate member class of 10! We have reached our goal for the semester,
but that does not mean we are going to stop the search for men worthy to become Theta Xi.
BROTHERS RAISE HUNDREDS FOR
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AWARENESS
We walked for MS Peoria on Sunday, September 17. The rain clouds came out, but we kept
walking. We raised more than $500 for MS so far and this number continues to grow with a huge
support coming from wonderful alumni, friends, and family. We will also raise awareness of MS
on campus by selling cookies with our philanthropy chairman, Reid Chapman '20.
RISE IN ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
So far this year, Jordan Ingram '19 has done a great job as scholarship chairman. He
consistently sets up study hour sessions at the house, which have excellent attendance. He
frequently offers to help others when studying and makes sure that brothers are studying for
their upcoming exams. With this amount of effort put in, I am certain our house GPA will rise
above the rest of the Greek houses by next semester.
ALUMNI SUPPORT CHAPTER HOUSE UPDATES
Recently, there have been quite a few repairs done to the chapter house. The downstairs toilet
stems were replaced, two of the central AC units were replaced, and a front door replacement
is taking place soon. These updates would not be possible without the support of our alumni
and the alumni association. Thank you for your continued support for Alpha Sigma Chapter.
