PAGE 3 FKQ Iowa Xi members and the new sweetheart, Megan Innis, enjoying the Kappa Delta Classic. Many thanks to house parents Paul and Ann Gaffney for putting on great tailgates for members and alumni. Undergraduates Advance Academically and Fraternally I owa Xi is reaching milestones and achieving great things. Our chapter membership is above 55 men for the first time in many years! We are incredibly proud of this achievement and are very thankful for all of the alumni support that we have received in order to make this possible. At this point, we are very optimistic for what the future has in store for us. Academically, we improved our chapter GPA by nearly .2 percent from the previous semester, with a 2.96 GPA from all members. Additionally, our active members achieved a GPA of 3.23, which was one of the highest in the entire Iowa State Greek community. For the fall semester, we have set a chapter GPA goal of a 3.10, which we believe will be attainable, given the best efforts from all members and with the constant support of Faculty Adviser Jenny Gibbs. Iowa Xi was incredibly successful last semester in our Greek Week pairing. We placed second overall, with first place finishes in Lip Sync, Community Service, and the Polar Bear Plunge donations. We plan on continuing our success this semester at Homecoming, in our pairing with the men of Beta Theta Pi and the women of Kappa Delta. The chapter has solidified itself as a strong competitor in both Homecoming and Greek Week, and we expect our advancement to continue for many years to come. Over the summer, External Vice President Matt Milder '19 had the opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious risk management work- shops in the nation at the Hart Institute. Matt has set his sights on opti- mizing our risk management policy to make sure that our chapter sets the example for the rest of the Greek community. He has been met with full chapter support in making sure that we are creating the safest environment possible for the men of Iowa Xi. I look forward to another excellent semester, with improvements com- ing both academically and fraternally. Iowa Xi continues to uphold the standards and lead the way both in the Greek community and the Iowa State community. We encourage everyone to come and visit us during Homecoming and to prepare for even more good news to come in the future!
