CLONE PAGE 2 Kitchen Upgrade needed to accommodate membership growth A gain, the alumni corporation board would like to thank those of you that contributed to the chapter house internet upgrade project. The undergraduates are very happy with the support that has been provided. This year's project will focus on upgrading kitchen appliances to suit the needs of larger membership. With 40 to 50 members attending meals, kitchen space is limited and there is an increased need for an automatic dishwasher. The oven/stovetop has finally kicked the can; although a few of the burners still work, the oven does not. A functional oven and stovetop is necessary for living in the house, especially on the weekends when there are no catered meals. This has been brought up several times, not only by the members but also their parents. The plan is to remove the current oven/stovetop and replace with a residential appliance. Please reach out if this is a project you are interested in providing assistance with. A goal of $1,500 has been set to complete this project. Contributions may be sent to the Ames Phi Kappa Building Company, P.O. Box 393, Ames, IA 50010-0393. Fraternally, Clayton Short '15 Alumni Corporate Board, Alumni Relations Chairman ccshort@alumni.iastate.edu (651) 440-4059 Phi Kap kitchen duty. Increased membership calls for upgraded dishwasher. Outdated stove/oven combination to be replaced. Graduating December 2017 My plan after graduation in December is to pursue a career in human resources. Until then I will be living in Ames and working at the East Ames Hy-Vee. Being part of Iowa Xi has given me the confidence I need to speak in public and one-on-one with potential employers. I have gained so much since joining as a freshman and owe part of my future success to our brotherhood. - Patrick Poe '17, email: pjpoe@iastate.edu WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS Aaron Anderson '21 Mahtomedi, Minn.
