THE DELTA CHI EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION The KnighT erranT Fall 2017 Educational Foundation Supports Delta Chi Success A nother school year is upon us. It's football season, and another Founders' Day has come and gone. 2017 has been a good year for Delta Chi and The Delta Chi Educational Foundation. The years between conventions tend to be a little less active for the Foundation, but that wasn't the case this year. The Foundation hosted alumni receptions in Tempe and Charlotte and co-hosted one with the Fraternity in Denver. We'll be back in the Mile High City next August for the Fraternity's biennial Convention, where we'll host an event similar to 2016's popular Louisville bourbon tasting fundraiser. The Foundation will also be hosting an alumni reception in Houston this coming February. If you're in either of these areas, watch for details as we draw closer to those dates. The Fraternity hosted its first Emerging Leaders Academy in July at Cornell University. Rising sophomores and juniors from across North America traveled to our Fraternity's birthplace for a four- day intensive leadership development experience that helped participants learn more about their leadership styles and strengths. Coupled with the "A"s' Academy and newly introduced Regional Leadership Conference officer training programs, the Emerging Leaders Academy helps equip our undergraduate leaders with the skills The 2017 Emerging Leaders Program participants thanking generous donors. ELA participants worked together to improve their leadership skills. The Delta Chi bond is strong among our ELA leaders. and self-awareness to improve their chapters and colonies, along with tools for personal growth. The Foundation helped support the inaugural Emerging Leaders Academy with a $35,000 grant. You can help us fund future leadership training programs by giving to the Foundation's Emerging Leaders Academy or "A"s' Academy accounts. The Embry-Riddle Chapter moved into a new house this fall. The Foundation was proud to help facilitate the construction process through our Educational Chapter Housing Initiative (E-CHI) program. The Georgia Tech Chapter also leveraged the E-CHI program and is in the construction process now. Brothers in Atlanta will return to a significantly updated home in early 2018. Of course, we offer many other scholarship and programming opportunities to support our undergraduate and graduate members. Finally, please join us in welcoming Jason Sisk, New Mexico State '03, as the Foundation's new Annual Giving Coordinator. Jason is familiar to many of our donors as a longtime Foundation volunteer.
