Thank you, again, for your support—it is truly making a difference. A s with any quality fraternity experience, Ken Todd '67 learned many valuable leadership and life lessons from his time in Alpha-Omicron. It allowed him the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. He fondly remembered all-night work sessions with his pledge brothers, house dances, touch football games, and many other great memories from his time at the chapter house. "I have lifelong friendships and memories," Ken stated. "I learned a great deal about life." Ken received his bachelor of arts in economics and later he earned his juris doctor degree from Indiana University's School of Law. He has served for more than 39 years as judge of the Monroe Circuit Court in Bloomington, which is a general jurisdiction trial court. He has presided exclusively over criminal cases for the last ten years but has seen everything from traffic tickets to domestic relation cases. Ken discussed that the undergraduate brothers were essential to his election to the bench in 1978. "They went door-to-door for me for weeks and executed a city-wide canvas the last weekend," Ken said. "I am thankful for my years in the house, all that those years taught me, and the brotherhood that has lasted a lifetime." As an alumnus, Ken served as High Pi for two periods, which encompassed several years after he graduated. "Those tenures were, and are, of special value and memory to me," Ken stated. He discussed how privileged he felt to witness their achievements and be a part of their success. "I am honored to be their brother and friend." In April, Ken had the opportunity to announce brother and fellow Judge Mike Kanne '62 as the keynote speaker at the 100th anniversary celebration. "He has also been a fraternal hero of mine," Ken stated. "Mike has set standards of excellence which all Alpha- Omicron brothers should strive to emulate." With the celebration of the centennial, Ken urges alumni to get involved in the chapter's fundraising efforts. "The lifeblood of any organization is funding," Ken said. He holds the Alpha-Omicron brothers to a higher standard, which he believes they have achieved. Ken credits the undergraduate brothers and the alumni for their continued guidance toward excellence. "Their commitment and efforts are deserving of our support." Ken lives in Bloomington, Ind., with his wife of 36 years, Bonnie, and they have one daughter, Erin, who lives and works in Nashville, Tenn. Ken enjoys traveling to his family's cottage of nearly 90 years on a lake in northern Indiana. If you would like to reconnect with Ken, you can reach him at kgtodd53@yahoo.com.
