Look for the Lambda Chi flag and come join us as we celebrate a Hoosier victory! Kurry Miller '20 and Brad Hass '20 in Nashville, Tenn., during the Stead Central Leadership Seminar in July. CHAPTER ETERNAL Elbert Leonard Tremblay '48 passed away on April 1, 2017, in Chapel Hill, N.C., at the age of 89. He graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in marketing, and he worked for Acme Markets for 31 years as an advertising and sales manager. Later in his career, he started Tremblay Advertising which he ran for 30 years. His college education was interrupted by World War II, when the Army sent Elbert to Panama. There he became the private artist to Lt. General Crittenberger. A highlight was meeting Five- Star General Dwight David Eisenhower, where he presented Eisenhower with a brochure on the Defense Command and a pencil sketch of Ike. Elbert enjoyed art from an early age, especially pen and ink sketching, which later led him to teach art at Galloway Ridge retirement center and participate in many local and juried art shows. Elbert is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son, Thomas (Charity), his daughters, LuAnn (Douglas) Nagel and Barbara (David) Smith, as well as eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. ALUMNI NEWS Lloyd Milliken '57 retired as a lawyer at Frost Brown Todd. He lives in Winter Park, Colo., for three months of the year. Lloyd had the chance to ski for 35 days last season. He and his wife, Sheila, have been married 55 years, and they have three children and eight grandchildren. They live in Indianapolis. E-mail: lloydhmilliken@gmail.com John Elpers '60 lives in Woodside, Calif., and continues to travel to South America in the British Virgin Islands and Cuba on his Catalina 36. John and his wife, Beverly, also enjoy their lake condo for skiing in the winter. E-mail: jrelpers@aol.com Roger Miller '70 retired from his full-time position as a trial lawyer in 2004, where he worked for 46 years. Although he is retired, Roger still dabbles in some legal work. He also ran a large cattle farm operation for more than 35 years. Roger and his wife, Joyce, enjoy their 10 grandchildren, and they live in Frankfort, Ind. They also have two lovely grandchildren. George is a recent bladder cancer survivor and is very blessed. George and Shelly recently celebrated 35 years of marriage and moved back to southern Indiana. John and Sharon bought a condo in Bloomington a couple of years ago and enjoy coming back to visit as often as they can.
