If you need someone to speak with, Cenpatico Crisis Line is open 24 hours/day. 1-866-495-6735 by Joanne Winer The annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser for Celia's Rainbow Gardens will be held on November 14 this year, and something new has come up. Our long time, hard working, dependable and some- times lovable cook, Richard Trusty, has been told he cannot stand for any length of time any more, and has to give up being my main man at this dinner this year, and also at the Party in the Park in March. This news was very hard, since I have relied on Richard for the past at least 12 years for these events maybe longer. He has been one person I could always count on to be there when I needed him to come in a few days early and cook up over 60 lbs. of noodles and then again a few days later to spend a hot afternoon and night in the kitchen at the Q.I.A. heating up all the bagged noodles he had cooked and getting them out to the servers on the lines in the dining room--he was a tremendous help!!! Richard had a real system fi gured out, and I can only hope that someone or two (it might take two to make up for him) will come forward before the end of next month to offer to do this enormous job for me or I may have to cancel the dinner this year. If you can give us some time for this event by helping with the cooking, please contact me at 927- 6551--if you can do one or both of the days. We will really miss Richard and Lois at the spaghetti dinner as volunteers and hope they will at least come and have dinner with us. They were both such a big help at the annual Party in the Park it will be hard to replace them, but we are hoping that someone else or more than one someone else will be able to help us out for the dinner in November and the Party in March. Please let me know if you can help. Richard and Lois are now helping to run the Food Bank and he will still be doing the Gold Show and other projects, so you will still see him around, just not back in the kitchen or at the grill!!! Thanks for everything Richard!!!
