PLAYGROUNDS AND SPORTS FACILITIES Kids love the new adventure playground at Stafford Lake Park–rope climbing, zip line, spinners, and more. Pack a picnic to enjoy near the lake. Pueblo Park in Santa Venetia is now home to the county's first outdoor pickleball court. Try your hand at the fastest growing sport in America. CREEKS, STREAMS, AND WETLANDS Venture to Bolinas and join a Kent Island workday. You'll be making a contribution to the wide-ranging Bolinas Lagoon Ecosystem Project, which in- cludes North End wetland res- toration and efforts to address sea level rise. In Loma Alta Preserve, hike the Old Railroad Grade and cross a new bridge over a steep ravine called "The Plunge." The bridge makes the trail easier to navigate and helps keep stream water clean as it runs to Corte Madera Creek. WILDLIFE HABITAT The Wildlife Picture Index brings volunteers together monthly to catalog images from the larg- est array of wildlife cameras in America, helping monitor the health of Marin wildlife. SCENIC WATERFRONT Enjoy spectacular views from the piers at McNears Beach Park or Paradise Beach Park. McNears pier repairs are com- plete, and work on Paradise is expected to begin this fall. Fishing optional! PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION Join a Broom Buster work day at Old St. Hilary's in Tiburon or Horse Hill in Mill Valley to help native plant species recover and thrive. On King Mountain, we tested the effectiveness of sheep grazing on invasive weeds and maintaining fire safety–one of several research projects funded by Measure A. MEASURE A PROJECTS TOUR Every first Saturday of the month through 2017 MEASURE A DAY! PHOTO CC © NICOLE BEAULAC
