For 34 years, Leadership Fayetteville has been a singular annual program producing community leaders to fill the local need for active involvement of informed and dedicated citizens in civic roles. The list of past graduates is full of active citizens who now serve on various boards and committees throughout the City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County area. Graduates continue to serve the need for developing community leaders. Local businesses also need to develop future leaders within their organizations. They need a local reliable source for continuous honing of the skills of current leaders. As a community, we need to attract a new generation of professionals to our community, develop their acuity for leadership and keep them here, too. After all, the future of our community – our quality of life and our economy – depends on the quality of leadership within our businesses, government offices, non-profit and civic organizations. To that end, the Greater Fayetteville Chamber is now accepting applications for the 2017-18 Leadership Fayetteville class. Throughout the program participants are exposed to local, community and civic leaders who serve as faculty, mentors or speakers to impart how individuals and groups leaders can make a positive impact on our community. The Leadership Fayetteville program meets the second Thursday of each month, September through May. Participants get acquainted with their fellow colleagues, visit great locations throughout the area, and get to network with leaders from virtually every industry and business type. The cost for the adult program is $950 per participant. This investment covers breakfasts, lunches, snacks, speakers, program materials and the graduation program. A portion of the fee also helps to sponsor a rising High School junior participate in our Leadership Fayetteville Youth Academy. APPLY TODAY at www.FayBiz.com or email Jenny@FayBiz.com for information. Deadline for applications is August 17.
