These events mark July 4th in Cumberland County: July 1 Independence Day Concert & Fireworks In Fes val Park July 3 Faye eville Swampdogs launch a Fireworks Extravaganza following the evening game. July 4 Star ng at 7 a.m., the Firecracker 4 Miler takes runners through historic Faye e- ville. July 4 Fort Bragg's July 4th Celebra on starts at 3 p.m. on the Main Post Parade Field. July 4 Hope Mills' celebra on includes a morning parade, a ernoon Party in the Park and Fireworks at dark. If you are someone who plans public, visitor friendly events in Cumberland County, you have probably talked to Jenny Bell. Jenny is the Faye eville Area Conven on and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) staff member who man- ages not only the FACVB calendar, but also submits Cumberland County event informa- on to travel publica ons, website travel promoters and local and regional calendars and websites. The bureau is the only orga- niza on that focuses on promo ng all visitor friendly Cumberland County events. Some of the places events are submi ed and published: • Our State Magazine • AAA Go Magazine • The Faye eville Observer • Carolina Country • VisitNC • Trip Advisor • HandmadeNC • Carolina Fes vals • South Carolina Living Last summer, the bureau re-launched GoFay- e eville.com as a blog to assist with event and asset promo on. Jenny manages the blog, which means researching and wri ng a blog 4-6 mes a month. The blog covers eight broad topics and highlights the assets of each Cumberland County community. In the 11 months since we relaunched, visita on has grown by nearly 475%. Last winter, we introduced a facebook page to support distribu on of the blog posts. The blog's facebook audience consistently gives the blog 5 stars. Comments include: "Looking for somewhere to GO Faye eville? Then Go Faye eville Blog is where you need to look first.
