6 Letter from the Undergraduate President G reetings from the undergraduate brothers of the Delta Chapter of St. Anthony Hall. The state of the Hall over the past year has been as strong as ever with steadfast involvement by brothers in athletics, service, and academic programs. Athletic Achievements Continuing on with the Hall's athletic legacy, the undergraduate members are active leaders across a wide variety of sports. The baseball team, led by team captain Tim Graul ∆'14, finished fourth last season in the Ivy League, with Tim voted Ivy League Player of the Year and Matt O'Neill ∆'16 voted Ivy League Rookie of the Year. This year, Billy Lescher ∆'15 and Jake Nelson ∆'16, two pitchers on the team, are each ranked the top in their Ivy League class as draft prospects and continue to work hard throughout the season. Kevin Gayhardt ∆'14 and Tyler Earley ∆'14, team captains for the lacrosse team, have lead the team to a No. 4 ranking this Ivy League this season. Squash, with five members on the team this year, led by team captain B.G. Lemmon ∆'14, beat Princeton away for the first time since 1973 to cap off a terrific year for Penn Athletics with St. Anthony Hall brothers leading the way. Serving the Community We are proud to report that the Delta Chapter received the St. Anthony Hall Philanthropy Award this year from our national chapter. Brothers have engaged in philanthropic activities this year on both the local and national level. The Hall organized events to support Semper Fi Fund and raised funds for the Travis Manion Foundation, top-rated charities that provide direct financial support to active duty military veterans. Additionally, Devan Malhotra ∆'14 helped lead the charge in raising over $2,000 for No Shave November, benefitting men's health across the nation. The Hall has continued our strong relationship with the St. James School in Philadelphia, providing academic and extracurricular mentorship to children from underprivileged backgrounds in the local area. Brothers organized a workshop at the Hall through the One Love Foundation to train members of the Penn community to be active in preventing relationship violence, led by One Love facilitators Garrett Fellows ∆'14, Peter Ferraro ∆'14, and me. For our speaker series, we recently hosted the Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro. Grand Chapter Undergraduate members have had a very strong relationship with our alumni and national chapter this year hosting the 170th GC at Delta with great success. The weekend was filled with meetings, dinners, and a party at the Hall that provided brothers the opportunity to connect with alumni and members of other chapters. With renovations taking place this summer, brothers have maintained a strong line of communication with alumni and are excited to see the changes and improvements in the Hall that the alumni have been working hard to see to completion. To the donors that have made this possible, the undergraduates cannot thank you enough. Your contributions are another sign that the bonds of Delta do not cease after graduation, and we will continue to love and respect this place we call home with the utmost care. YITB, G.T.
