Necrology
Francis C. Forbes Δ'38 passed away on March
20 as a resident of Paoli, Pa. He was a highly
decorated WWII veteran, having served as a
fighter pilot with the 14th Army Air Forces in the
China-Burma-India theater, where he was shot
down by enemy ground fire, evaded capture, and
was rescued by Chinese troops. After the War,
he pursued a career in the insurance industry
and volunteered his time to several historical
societies in the Philadelphia area.
Robert "Bob" P. Lambrecht Δ'56 passed away
on June 12, 2016, as a resident of Boca Grande,
Fla., after a brief battle with cancer. He was the
third generation to run the Lambrecht Realty
Company since 1926. Bob served as chairman
until starting his own company, Lambrecht
Properties, in 1990, to buy commercial real
estate with his sons. Bob loved golf and boating,
spending many summers on Harsens Island and
Walloon Lake, and cruising the "Great Loop"
from Michigan to Florida. He is survived by his
wife, Ginny, of 55 years; two sons, James and
Jeffrey; and four grandchildren.
