Our local youth have developed and are opening a small radio and sci- ence shop to raise funds for their science, technology, education and math projects. The shop will carry radio systems, accessories, wire and cable, educational gadgets and gizmos and more! At their store you will fi nd great products, at or below retail pric- ing, with all profi t going to main- tain and expand their educational programs. The store is located in the radio building on Desert Eagle Ranch at 540 Desert Vista in Quartzsite. It is open from 10:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday or by invitation. Thanks for understanding our three days/ week store hours, which are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, open 8am- noon. Urgent assistance will always be available with a phone call. Please drop off donations during open hours only. If you have a special drop- off need, please call me at 360-921- 7571. I am happy to come quickly to the store for your donation. Remember, if you wouldn't give it to a friend, please don't give it to us. One man's junk, NOT GARBAGE, is some- one else's treasure. We are reporting af- ter-hour dumping with camera photos to Quartzsite Police Dept. Thank you Phoenix TSA Headquar- ters for bringing 6 pallets of water, HeaterMeals and boxed Heater/Cof- fee for our community members in need. We gave three pallets to the Food Bank and shared three pallets with QPD, QFD and TSA. A huge THANK YOU to Ryan, Larry & Ginnie, Steve, Hector and Estebon for hand-unloading these supplies from the big box truck. You were all amazing lifesavers on one of our hottest days! We will continue to be a dona- tion site for Quartzsite QPD Special Olympics Fundraiser. Come in and see our display. Thanks to all who do- nated last month. Remember that adult and baby dia- pers are available year-round. Fund- ing is provided from the Town's Com- munity Outreach Funding Grant. You can be serviced monthly for this as- sistance with photo ID. Please ask for details. Need a cool place to spend a few hours? Come join a fun group of vol- unteers in our cool store. We also have a bright blue resting bench in memory of Carol Kelley. Dedication will be later upon completion of the decorative rock and securing the bench in this area.
