A funeral service was held at Polkville United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Bridges served our country in the US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Washburn Bridges; par- ents, William Johnson Bridges and Martha Carpenter Bridges; his son, Buck Bridges; and numerous brothers and sisters. Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, Jean Floyd Bridges; sons, Lee Ray Greene and wife, Jada of Kings Mountain, NC and Tommy Greene of Mooresboro, NC; a daughter, Jewel B. Dills of Shelby, NC; and numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchil- dren.
