Eta Chapter of Sigma Chi,
Alumni and Friends
to take advantage of any opportunities that give
you a chance to learn. Also, trust your intuition.
If you think in your gut you should do something,
you probably should."
One opportunity that Stephen didn't pass up was
the chance to join the Sigma Chi brotherhood.
He gained a breadth of knowledge, countless
lifelong friendships, and is one of several alumni
who have passed through those doors and gone
on to do great things. "Back when I had first met
with Ron in May, we got to talking and I was
reminded that he was a Sigma Chi alumnus from
TCU. The fact that we shared a common bond as
Sigma Chi alumni definitely helped forge a trust
much quicker than it would have otherwise."
He stays involved with the Eta Chapter primarily
by speaking at the final night of recruitment and
sharing his story of what Sigma Chi means to
him. "It's a great honor for me to speak and
help recruit new members to the brotherhood.
We have a long history of tradition, and I think
Eta is continuously growing. They have a very
bright future."
Stephen and his wife, Melissa, live in Jackson,
and have four children: Mary Hunter, Bennett,
Isabelle, and Charlie. You can connect with
Stephen at sdj4ms@gmail.com.
Two Sigma Chi seniors were selected to the 2017 Hall of Fame. Austin Powell '17, who was ASB president and a Rhodes Scholarship finalist this year, is back
row, third from the left, and John Brahan '17, who was ASB vice president, is pictured back row, fifth from left. That's two Sigma Chis out of the 10 inductees!
