Monday - Friday, 9am – 3pm May is Older Americans month QES updates The Quartzsite Elementary School Board meeting will be May 9th, 2017 at Ehrenberg Elementary School at 6:00 pm. End of the year awards will be May 16th at 6:00pm. There will be a field day for all eli- gible students on Wednesday, May 17th. It will be from 8:30am-3pm. Please send $1, towel and extra set of clothes with your child/children. Kinder-graduation will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd, at 10:00am. 8th grade promotion, Tuesday, May 23rd, at 6:00pm. Thursday, May 25th last day of school. Have a safe summer! See you all back on August 9th. Attendance Information Attendance is very important; please make sure your child is in school. If he/she is absent please call the school at 928-927-5500. Parents will be contacted by a representative of the La Paz County Attorney's Office for chronic atten- dance problems Thanks to everyone for your pa- tience and understanding with our recent closure. Our new summer hours are: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. We are now on summer days: Mon- day, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We had a wonderful Easter Event with about 30 children receiving baskets with Easter candy, toy prize of the choice, new backpack and a book. Kids also enjoyed a fun craft project with Parents as Teachers® consultant Penny. Come join a fun group of all volun- teers in a COOL place this summer. We always appreciate new volun- teers. Come in and ask for a simple application. Hours and days are of your choosing. We do have sit down jobs here, too. The adult and baby diapers are available year around at no charge. Funding was provided from the town's Community Outreach Fund- ing Grant. You can be serviced monthly for this assistance with photo identification. Please ask. Thanks to all that donated to The Torch Run Special Olympics fund- raiser. We gave over $1000.00 to the Quartzsite Police Department for this great program. THANKS!! If anyone has a storage shed or container building that needs a new home, we would be greatly appre- ciative. Please let us know. Thanks. A reminder that clean and reusable donations are appreciated, BUT, if you wouldn't give it to friend, please don't give it to us. We must pay for our garbage service.
