Hill has just com- pleted the road to Elder creek where it reaches the chrome mines, and with this improvement made he has put on two more large trucks. This gives Mr. Hill three trucks to haul the ore, and he ex- pects to make a big show- ing from now on. The ore comes from rich deposits, and it is expected that the industry will be- come one of the big mining propositions of this sec- tion of the state. Arrests NicholasCalvin McCormick:25,of Portland, Oregon was arrested and booked into Tehama County Jail Friday on the felony charge of battery to a custodial officer. No bail was set. Brandon Demone Oliverez: 22, of Corning was arrested and booked Friday on the charge of attempted murder. No bail was set. Joseph Rodney Edward Robbins: 22, of Red Bluff was arrested and booked Friday on the charge of being an ex-felon with a firearm. No bail was set. Oscar Enrique Polanco: 32, of Red Bluff was arrested and booked Saturday on charges of being his possession of a firearm by a felon and being prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm. No bail was set. Aaron Jay Mehringer: 31, of Red Bluff was arrested Saturday and booked Sunday on the charge of burglary. Bail was set at $1million. David Michael Murr: 63, of Corning was arrested and booked Sunday on the charge of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse and aggravated mayhem. Bail was set at $1.05 million. Sheri Louise Ysit: 56, of Red Bluff was arrested and booked Sunday on the charge of grand theft and identity theft. No bail was set. Burglary Antelope Self Storage: One of the storage units was burglarized early Friday. Tehama Asphalt on SR36 West: Sometime been Monday and Tuesday the business was burglarized and money and receipts were taken. First Church of God: Between Thursday and Friday the storage shed was burglarized. Taken was a Husqvarna riding lawn mower, an Echo leaf blower, two Echo weed eaters, a Husqvarna push mower and two gasoline cans, valued at around $3,700. Rolling Hills Casino: A person reported at 5:18 a.m. Sunday a vehicle was broken into in the parking lot. Rawson Road, Corning: A woman reported arriving at her deceased brother-in- law's residence and found it had been ransacked and vehicles missing. Collision Interstate 5, south of Hooker Creek Road: Dameon Foster, 24, Martinez was heading northbound on I-5Sunday when he ran off the road and overturned. He was sent to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Sex Registrant Sweep Red Bluff: Officers conducted special enforcement detail on three occasions since March 31targeting sex offenders in the community. As a result, officers contacted 45 registered sex offenders, arrested two sex offenders who were out of compliance and initiated investigations onto two more sex offenders that were not at their registered address. Suspicious Red Bluff High School: A knife was reportedly found on campus Friday. 200block of Madison Street: At 5:22p.m. Friday officers responded to a residence regarding a domestic violence incident. Officers learned an estranged husband had arrived at the house where the female victim was located. The man damaged the front door and brandished a firearm. Cheveron on Antelope Boulevard: A subject broke the pump and hose at the gas station and refused to give insurance information Sunday. Theft 76gas station on Antelope Boulevard: A woman reported her purse stolen Friday out of her black Nissan. A man and a woman involved were seen leaving in a white Toyota Rav4west on Antelope Boulevard. Urban Lane: The theft of chainsaws and weed cutters from a shed was reported Friday. Kinney Avenue: A man reported Saturday his wife's phone and charger were stolen out of their vehicle. The phone was an iPhone 5S with an orange Otter Box case on it. Lake California park and ride on Bowman Road, Cottonwood: A man's tailgate was stolen while at the park and ride. Police logs Did you know that 1 in 4 people will be affected by mental illness? Through May 7, custom- ers can participate in the 2017 Spring Paper Clover Campaign by purchasing paper clovers — the emblem of 4-H — for $1 or more at checkout. The funds raised will be awarded as schol- arships to local 4-H mem- bers wishing to attend 4-H camps and leadership con- ferences across the country.
