New way to communicate with Town Hall During April's Parks & Recreation Board meeting, Emmett Brinker- hoff, Director of Public Works, an- nounced the Town of Quartzsite has made it easier to address is- sues of concern with the addition of "iWorQ" software. As a government entity, it is im- perative to communicate with citi- zens and grasp their needs. iWorQ's Citizen Engagement platform gives cities and counties tools to com- municate with citizens in real- time. Citizen Engagement provides convenient methods for citizens to notify city leadership about issues in the community – including fall- en trees, broken pipes, potholes, code violations, or even kudos for a job well done with any Internet- capable device. Visible, open com- munication between government and the people increases citizen satisfaction: the more citizens feel heard and understood, the more likely they are to be happy. Visit www.QuartzsiteAZ.org, and click the iWorQ.net link on the left side of the page. Just fill out the short questionaire. To have the program available on your smart phone, right click (while viewing on your phone) and add to your homepage. Now when you're out and about around town and see something that needs attention, you can fill out the form quickly and Town staff will get instant no- tification. Readily available infor- mation reduces the amount of time town staff use to field phone calls and walk-in clients, increasing op- erations efficiency. In return giving staff more time to devote to other pressing matters. Call Tracey at Quartzsite Town Hall with questions, 928-927-4333, More information will be offered at Tuesday, April 25th council meet- ing at 7pm, 465 N. Plymouth Ave.
