Forever Home 603 Kentucky Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Missouri Alpha Mu Reaches Campaign Goal! Matching Challenge Remains Open E arlier this spring, Sara Scholes Morgan '63 presented a challenge to take Alpha Mu to a new level. To encourage more sisters to get involved and to help propel the campaign to a successful completion, Sara offered to match any new gift or pledge, up to $50,000! After announcing the challenge, we were overjoyed at the immediate response and continue to be so grateful for the outpouring of support. We see sisters coming forward for the first time, and others who are once again reaching into their pocketbooks after having already made a generous commitment. Thanks to this initial response to Sara's challenge, $45,000 in new donations has been submitted! We thank all who have added their name to the contributor's list. To those who have yet to give, the time is now! Limited time remains in the dollar- for-dollar matching challenge and, ultimately, the fundraising campaign. We would like to see the list of contributors grow to include even more sisters in this final phase of the 603 Kentucky… Forever Home campaign. We still have $5,000 to raise by May 1 to gain the full benefit of the challenge. If successful, we will have raised an additional $100,000 for Alpha Mu just this spring! To help, all you have to do is sign and mail the enclosed pledge form, or visit mizzoutheta.com to give electronically. We want to take full advantage of the challenge dollars, so whether you are making your first gift, or adding to a previous commitment, your dollars will have twice the impact on this campaign and our sisterhood. Go Alpha Mu! Loyally, Patty Gee Nicholson '76, Campaign Chairman (816) 863-3350 pattygeekc@gmail.com P.S. All donors who have committed $1,000 or more are listed on pages 2-3. A donation of $5,000 will secure your space on a plaque prominently displayed in the completed chapter house! We would be honored to include your name. 603 Kentucky… Forever Home Becomes Largest Sorority Campaign at MU Save the Date for Ribbon Cutting on September 23 I t's hard to believe another school year is coming to a close and that we are one season closer to completing our capital campaign and construction project. We are humbled by the generosity and support of Theta members near and far, young and old. The campaign has officially met its $1.5 million goal—making it the largest sorority capital campaign to date on Mizzou's campus—but there's still time to participate! Meanwhile, construction is advancing ahead of schedule. This spring, our members have enjoyed the newly furnished first floor (including additional study spaces) and an expanded laundry room with nine pairs of washers and dryers. Some of our members are already living in the courtyard infill six-person suites, and you'll wish you could too when you see them. These suites are beautiful and spacious.
