AlwAys Anchored Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma • The Ohio State University • Spring 2017 Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN THIS FALL Increased Alumnae Participation Needed to Bring Project to Completion T he Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon campaign was announced in early 2016. Since the announcement, we have added over $200,000 in new gifts ($623,775 in total) and added 150 new donors to our worthy cause. Along the way, we have reconnected with many sisters and proved our Delta Gamma sisterhood is truly for a lifetime. We know many of you are eager—as we are—to see some construction work beginning on the chapter house. Sisters, rest assured that day is coming soon! At meetings with the architect and contractor in March, they confirmed they are ready to pull permits and begin the work. The plan still remains to begin construction work in the fall. The delays have been to our advantage because we've had more time to research the lowest prices in each area of the project and also to take the necessary time to tweak the design. Taking our time to begin construction will benefit us greatly in the long run. Please take a look at the tentative construction timeline outlined below. Construction will be ongoing from September 2017 through June 2018. We look forward to updating you as construction progresses, with photos and updates shared via e-mail and these newsletters. While the upcoming construction is exciting, we must not forget one of the most important aspects of this campaign: fundraising. With more dollars needed to reach our $750,000 goal, we need the support of more sisters. With just 9% of our alumnae having given so far, there are still more than 1,500 alumnae who have not given to this project. It is incredible to think we have raised over $600,000 with only 9% of our sisters giving. Think of how much more we could raise if we increased our participation to 20%, the average participation among Greek campaigns like ours. We know some of you might be waiting until construction begins to make your gift. We ask that you give now instead of waiting. Please don't forget to take advantage of our new online giving form, www.epsiloncampaign.kintera.org/donate. We hope you enjoy this new way of giving. Thank you for your loyalty to Epsilon and our capital campaign over the past year. Great things are headed our way this year and we can't wait to continue sharing our successes with you all.
