Ties to Tau Delta Gamma at the University of Iowa House Corporation of Delta Gamma 308 E. Burlington St. PMB #133 Iowa City, IA 52240 Address Service Requested A Lifelong Friendship 1997 Initiates Reminisce Their Time in Tau Chapter uring their undergraduate years, amy Fagerberg a'Hearn '97, Staci roccasalva '97, and Emily Bewer Mayfield '97 made countless memories living together, prank calling the fraternities, and eating too many of Monnie's cookies. "Amy and Staci were always there for me during the fun times and the stressful times," Emily said. "I will never forget how they held me up and showed me such friendship and support. Anything I needed, they were there." For all three, one of their favorite events was Anchor Splash®, but the highlights of their undergraduate years were the unplanned memories they made living in the Chapter house. "I think memories of living in the Chapter house are so fun to remember," Amy said. "It could have been a random Tuesday night with great friends that will always stand out to me in a really great way." Tau Chapter taught Staci how to hold herself accountable and how to recognize her strengths and leverage them. For Emily, the Chapter helped develop her time management and leadership skills, and also opened her eyes to the benefits of service and the community. As for Amy, Delta Gamma helped push her out of her comfort zone and got her involved in ways she normally wouldn't have. Working on campus as an assistant director of admissions, Amy coordinates the medical school interview process and serves as a main recruiter for the University of Iowa College of Medicine. "My job really is a perfect fit for me in every way," she said. "I love my job and I'm not sure I would have gotten here without Delta Gamma." She and her husband, Barry, have one son, Brooks, and live in North Liberty, Iowa. Amy can be reached at amy-ahearn@uiowa.edu. Staci has spent 15 years with Staples, where she has held many positions, including account manager, director of global sales, and her current position as business development director. Specifically, she calls Fortune 500 companies to help them build a collection of branded products that line up with the mood of their brand. In her free time, Staci enjoys yoga, writing, traveling, and playing with her nieces and nephews. She lives in Olathe, Kan., and can be reached at rocstace@gmail.com. Emily is a speech pathologist at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, where she works in the NICU with infants with swallowing disorders. She also works with adults who have communication and swallowing disorders and is a board certified lactation consultant. As a past Chapter president and member of the House Corporation for a number of years, she advises current members to lean on their sisters and seek out opportunities to grow as a leader. Emily and her husband, Tim, have two boys, Spencer and Owen. In her free time, she enjoys hosting family get-togethers and watching movies. Emily can be reached at emilybmayfield@gmail.com. Delta Gamma has stayed a part of all three of their lives since graduation, and Amy, Staci, and Emily are thankful for their years in Tau Chapter.
