PAGE 3 PI KAPPA PHI UPDATE ON ACTIVE CHAPTER Brothers met Alabama baseball coach Greg Goff after touring Sewell- Thomas Stadium (named after Omicron Brother Joseph Sewell '20). Brady Notarianni '16 participated in a homerun derby that night. T he fall 2016 semester was successful all-around for the Brothers of Pi Kappa Phi. As our Chapter's centennial approaches, we have countless aspects of our brotherhood to be proud of. From academics to intramurals, Omicron Chapter has kept its competitive edge and we are thriving at the University of Alabama. Improving Academically Academically, our GPA increased from a 3.02 in spring 2016 to a 3.09 last fall. This puts us above the all-men's and Greek men's averages. Thirty-two Brothers made the Dean's List, earning a GPA of 3.5-3.99, and six men made the President's List with a GPA greater than 4.0. With 125 active members, to earn these results is impressive and we hope to continue our academic success in the future. Membership Boosts Campus Involvement Last fall, we initiated 38 members into the brotherhood. Throughout the spring we will be preparing for recruitment early and are aiming to have a pledge class of around 50 new members. As our membership grows, so does our activity involvement. Last fall, we raised $4,000 for the Ability Experience and made it to the championship game for intramural flag football, where we placed second. We also received Master Chapter awards in member experience, branding and communication, and campus involvement at Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers. Additionally, we received recognition for excellence in member retention. Join Us April 21-22 for the Centennial Anniversary Looking ahead, we are incredibly excited to be hosting the centennial anniversary April 21-22, and we look forward to celebrating this monumental event with Brothers from all eras. As always, Omicron Chapter would not be the same without the help from our dedicated alumni. We hope to see you at the centennial celebration as we rejoice in our Chapter's past 100 years and look forward to the next 100 years.
