Make certain to wear your best green outfi t! Door prizes will be awarded for the most creatively dressed. Lunch is $6.50. The SilverArts Awards luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:30 PM at the Neal Senior Center. This is an event to honor those who participated in the 2017 Senior Games SilverArts division. Lunch is free for SilverArts participants and $6.50 for guests. Reservations are required. Please call the Neal Senior Center at 704/482- 3488 to make a reservation. Walgreens Pharmacy will host a Wellness Seminar at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. The topic will be on quitting smoking. A pharmacist will conduct the seminar. This will be a great opportunity for participants to ask questions and to gain a better perspective on each disease. SilverArts Awards Luncheon Wednesday, March 22 Walgreens Wellness Seminar Tuesday, March 21 Telephone Reassurance Do you, or someone you know, live alone and have little contact with people? If the answer is yes, then the Council on Aging Telephone Reassurance Program might be for you. This program is especially for seniors age 60 and above that would like for someone to make phone contact with them Monday through Friday. On these days a volunteer will call to make sure that you are up and okay. If the volunteer does not get an answer, they will notify a contact person that will come check on you. If you are interested in this program, or being a volunteer to make calls with the Telephone Reassurance Program please call Kathy Cobb at 704-482-3488.
