March 1, 2017 www.DesertMessenger.com 3 1265 W. Main St., Quartzsite West of McDonald's • 928-927-6014 Times Three Family Restaurant The Arizona SunRiders last meeting of the season will be Friday, March 10, at 10AM, at the QIA (Quartzsite Improvement Assoc.) As the sea- son winds down, we would like to express our appreciation to the community of Quartzsite for their welcoming attitude. The SunRiders have been very involved with local authorities and continue to partner with the Arizona Peace Trail to en- hance OHV activity in the area. We are grateful for the establishment of the Quartzsite Off-Road Con- sortium and especially for the Off- Road Room at the QIA. The Town of Quartzsite and the La Paz County Tourism Bureau realize what we bring to the community and want to expand our involvement. The Town of Quartzsite and local law enforcement would like OHV operators to know that riding ATVs and UTVs in the town limits is le- gal if you 1) are licensed and in- sured and 'street legal'; 2) stay on the pavement – do NOT ride on the shoulders of the roads/streets in the dirt, causing excessive dust; and 3) obey all traffi c laws, especially relat- ing to impeding traffi c. The SunRiders have had a great year and would like to get more OHV enthusiasts involved with the club next season. Thanks go out to all who have been involved this season and for all the work they've done. Our major focus is to enjoy riding and to keep it safe and fun. Please stay on the trails and on the roads. Let's not give anyone cause to complain about OHVs because we have a great area to ride and want to maintain it.
