Montana Beta Grows Stronger Undergraduates Work Together to Build Brotherhood at 1120 Gerald A fter a few months of fighting off cold temperatures and snowy conditions, Montana Beta members are in high gear for the spring 2017 semester. The chapter remains healthy with 48 total members, 20 of whom live at 1120 Gerald. Special congratulations to Skyler Hilden '19 for earning a 3.94 and the highest GPA for the chapter. Our chapter continues to put an emphasis on building well-rounded individuals. Fall 2016 was a successful semester for Montana Beta. We coordinated a trick-or-treat event for UNICEF, raising funds for children in need. We also hosted an amazing parents' weekend at the Missoula Winery before enjoying a fabulous dinner and impromptu karaoke. It was a great opportunity for the families of Sigma Alpha Epsilon members to get to know each other. Montana Beta would like to congratulate its three most recent graduates: Spencer Lawston '16, John Park Narron '16, and Nathan Hovsepian '16. These brothers helped transform the chapter from the small membership numbers we had five years ago to the strong, thriving, and full chapter we take pride in today. I am happy to report that this spring, Montana Beta recruited four new members! We look forward to their contributions to our growing brotherhood. We would also like to welcome and thank new Eminent Chef Bill Buseman. He has long enjoyed cooking for the local resort, Paws Up, and we are lucky to have him now. We couldn't feel more appreciative of everything he has helped us with around the house, from plumbing issues to filling our stomachs with the best food we have tasted at 1120 Gerald. This semester, we sent three brothers to the Leslie Devotie Ritual Institute at the temple in Evanston. Ben Hastings '19, Ethan Zaremski '19, and Nate Behan '19 had a blast learning about the ritual ceremonies and picking up useful ideas and modifications for our own ritual ceremonies. On March 9, in celebration of our national founding, Montana Beta hosted a formal Founders' Day dinner at our home base of 1120 Gerald Avenue for alumni to enjoy. Thank you to those in attendance. If you weren't able to attend, we hope to see you at an alumni event in the near future. We look forward to another successful year!
