Quartzsite, AZ - Covenant Luther- an Church and a Thrivent grant, combined efforts to host the annual yard sale which was held in Decem- ber. We were able to raise $1,500 which included a $500 grant from Thrivent Financial. Thank you to all the husbands who helped set up and the ladies who helped organize and put on this event. Thank you to the community for supporting the fundraising yard sale. Finally thank you to Thrivent for their contribution. I also want to take this opportunity to Thank Quartzsite for nominat- ing my husband and I Volunteers of the Year. It was for very personal reasons that we both are involved in helping the community. Mostly our faith, but also because we love living here and the friends we have made. We are truly blessed and grateful. It was an honor for us both and all of those who partici- pated in the Thrivent Action Team program. Without you, we could not do what we are doing! I am the Thrivent Action Team Representative for our church and am more than happy to come and explain to your group, organization or an individual how to become an associate member. Learn how you can pass it forward with a com- munity project! Just call Maggie at 360-490-8715. Maggie and Gene Ross Quartzsite Lutheran Church & Thrivent thanks QIA has new director
