A committee consist- ing of Fred Shelton of Te- hama, A. C. Smith of Ger- berandJackAmesofFlores school districts met before this hour and agreed to the portionsoftheTehama and Flores districts that would be given toward forming the new Gerber district. Tehama school districts gave up all of the Ait- kin, Shattuck and Poket ranches on the south of the new district, while the rail- road yard line on the north was what was allowed by the Flores district. An important question came up over the forma- tion of the new district. It was regarding just what could be done with the section taken from the two high school districts in the matter of the school bonds. Before final action was taken by the board an opinion on the question will be had from the dis- trict attorney on this phase of the case. —Feb.8,1917 100 YEARS AGO...
