Indiana Gamma Chapter Alumni Impressed with Undergraduate Leadership I n early December I met with the new leadership team at Indiana Gamma, and I am excited to say we are fortunate to have another strong set of leaders! Their enthusiasm and excitement for the future, tempered by the responsibility of their roles, provided me with confidence that we have aligned and linked the ideals of our past with the present. It was great to hear the officers talk not only about their success in the classroom, community service, and strong bike team, but also about their success on the intramural field! I also need to share that our outgoing EA, Andrew Cowie '18, was just elected to the role of president of the Interfraternity Council. Given my involvement with the National Fraternity, I discovered that we just missed being down-selected for consideration for the ZEAL award for best SAE chapter. The newly established leadership team has made it a priority to leverage "best practices" and submit the Chapter again at the end of the school year—we can all be proud that Indiana Gamma is definitely in the mix for this achievement. I was also able to attend an event at Cook Hall prior to the UNC game and ran into quite a few brothers: Dan Aron '83, Mike Wurtsbaugh '84, Greg Batts '85, Ron Paris '84, John Huguenard '85, and Matt Hayes '85. Pretty impressive given the limited number of people at the event; it brought back a flood of great memories and stories of Gamma. We also ran in to Gary Rozynek '78 and Jim Young '79 at Nick's; it was a great night. I hope everyone had a safe holiday season!
