SEE QES PAGE 26 Quartzsite Police Chief William Ponce rings the bell for The Salvation Army Quartzsite, AZ - Heather Dan- giolini, a 7 & 8 grade teacher at Quartzsite Elementary School, raised $1,946.12 for 18 micro- scopes through online project at DonorsChoose.org. On her project page, Dangio- lini stated, "Exploring our en- vironment is the key to making learning each and every day an adventure. Our community con- sist of many parents that are out of work or grandparents raising their grand kids. We have a small district with two schools and a to- tal of less than 200 kids. Our stu- dents come from different places but all want the same thing, to ����� | R��� V������ �� Q��������� TV ����� | C������� Q��������� T��� H��� New Council member On Monday, December 5, 2016 the Quartzsite Town Council unani- mously appointed Steve Schue to fi ll the vacant seat when Norm Simpson resigned to successfully run for the mayoral position. Schue is a property owner and own a successful real estate busi- ness in Quartzsite. He has 20 Years in accounting including management as a Controller, 10 Years Industrial Manufacturing and Purchasing and 14 Years in Sales and Marketing. Schue has been volunteering his time with the Chamber of Com- merce Y& Tourism, Rotary Inter- national, as well as a Commission- er on Planning and Zoning. He stated "I look forward to doing my best to serve our Town directly to make it a better place to live, and to unlock its potential for growth and sustainability. I love Quartzsite!" create a better life for themselves and their families.
