The duo "Wait for What?!" is performing at the Quartzsite Improvement Association, 235 East Ironwood, on December 13th from 7pm until 9pm. It is T David and Elane Wiggin‛s fi rst concert in the Quartzsite area and is a must see show. "Wait for What?!" is well known around New Mexico and Texas for their musi- cianship, song selection, and comedy. T David is an outstanding guitarist and when you add Elane‛s vocals, it is now a party. He calls their music New Grass since he adds a bluegrass fl a- vor to some old favorites. Tuesday, Dec. 13 @ 7pm at QIA - $ 7 QIA Dec. 7 www.WaitForWhat.com 1 st time in Q! The 9 am ceremony is open to the pub- lic and everyone is invited to come to the ceremony. The Parade of Wreaths is also open to any motorcycle enthu- siast or veteran who wishes to join in, but you must be at the post by 8:40 when they leave to go down Main St. to the Hi Jolly Cemetery. There will be brief ceremony at the monument, with the playing of God Bless America and at the end of the ceremony they will play Taps. The District 1 Border- line Riders will lead the parade. Please come out and join in the cer- emonies or be in the Parade and show your support for those brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedoms. This is s very special event and one that should be continued ev- ery year--a true community event! The VFW is also collecting items for the gift baskets for the veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Prescott. They are having a White Shower--they will be collecting t-shirts, underwear, sock, bras etc. and you can bring them to the Post to put around one of their Christmas trees and they will deliv- er them to Prescott. They also need some good used clothes for these vet- erans, so anything you can give will be greatly appreciated--mostly men's shirts, sweaters, pants, etc. but some women's things are also needed. The VFW also plans to have a pyjama tree up at the Post where you can put a pair of pj's for children (or adults) under the tree and they will make sure these items get delivered to vet- erans and their families. The VFW is hoping to get all these things wrapped and given out in time for Christmas, so if you have any items that they can use, please take them to the Post as soon as possible. Jean Braa, Presi- dent of the Auxiliary, stated that "we are trying to get as many items as we can to help these veterans and their families and also the ones that are hospitalized--they really appreciate all that is done for them, and we want to help as much as we can." Please help support these great events and the veterans who put their lives on the line for us. They deserve it, and the VFW has done a great job of making it possible to get them some of the things they need. VFW FROM PAGE 8
