In October of 2015, Explore150 launched the Places of Change National Digital Storytelling Contest. A
$1,000 scholarship was offered as the grand prize. A series of workshop modules were also developed
and organized across Canada both in-person and over video conferencing.
A series of regional outreach and
engagement activities also provided
youth with opportunities for
involvement in the project.
According to the Canadian Heritage
Youth Take Charge survey, 83% of
youth participants agree that as a result
of Explore150, they realize they have
something in common with other
young people in Canada.

Do Something is the world's largest organization for youth helping take
action on issues that matter to them. In 2015, Do Something Canada grew
to over 45 number of members and over 40 number of campaigns and
with, the launch of 2 uniquely Canadian SMS campaigns, Questioning
Kanata and the RCMP Bully Text Game, this year Do Something Canada
has reached over 3500 SMS subscribers across Canada.
