On Canada Day 2015, TakingITGlobal launched the
Explore150 Summer Adventure Challenge inviting youth to
visit different places with friends and check-in to sites on
the mobile platform.
Throughout the summer of 2015, the Indigenous Youth
Advisory Circle was established with the intention to
strengthen the voices of youth Indigenous people within
the Explore150 project and beyond. Our goal in convening
this group, representing perspectives from 30 communities
across Canada, was to increase contact and understanding
across Indigenous communities and between First
Nations, Inuit and Metis people and non-indigenous
people in Canada and beyond. The group contributing to
developing an SMS trivia campaign that was launched in
the fall of 2015.
