Recognizing DeDicateD effoRts of ouR BRotheRs Beta Tau Recruits 34 Men and a New Housemother T hanks to the hard work of many of Beta Tau's most dedicated members, our chapter has made significant strides in improving programming, strengthening our foundation, and inspiring future leadership. Our three exemplary summer recruitment chairmen, Reece Barnes '13, Eliot Appleget '13, and Rob Dohn '14, executed a well- planned recruitment strategy this summer and brought 34 outstanding men into our new member program. With guidance from New Member Educator Tucker Krantz '13, we hope to initiate these men into our brotherhood and raise our undergraduate total to 133 members! During the summer, four brothers, Henry Dobson '14, Justin Hicklin '15, Blake Woodruff '13, and Evan Weise '14, represented our chapter at Karnea in Orlando, Florida. They also joined our chapter advisors, Ryan Caldwell '98 and Jim Emanuel '79. Through understanding and applying strategies learned during this unique experience, we hope to build on Beta Tau's programming and inspire others to take full advantage of the outstanding opportunities offered by the national fraternity. Efforts to maintain and improve our Shelter are in the works thanks to the generous donations from many alumni. Beta Tau proves to be one of the nicest Shelters and most efficiently operated fraternities in Nebraska. Internal Vice President Jacob Pfeifer '14, along with our house and grounds committee, Tim Russell '15, Noah Goodman '15, and Bryce Brockman '15, routinely demonstrate unselfish work as they address the inevitable issues that arise when working on a Shelter. Their contributions toward sustaining the Shelter will undoubtedly allow it to serve as a valuable recruitment tool for many years to come. With great pleasure, we welcome Connie Wilson to the Beta Tau Chapter as our new housemother. We are excited for the energy and unique perspectives she will bring to our fraternity. It is certainly no easy task to live in a facility with 70 men, but Connie has shown enthusiasm toward inspiring maturity in our members. I greatly appreciate your continued interest in the happenings of our chapter. I invite you to get involved and make a difference within the many lives of men committed to excellence through service to Delta Tau Delta. Fraternally, Cody Thorson '13 Chapter President cthorson95@gmail.com Henry Dobson '14, Blake Woodruff '13, Evan Weise '14, and Justin Hicklin '15 visit Disney World for a day during the 2016 Karnea in Orlando, Florida.
