It is not just a house; it is a permanent structure that allows undergraduates and alumni to bond, share laughs, and create new memories with one another." As an alumnus, Jack pays it forward and he eagerly anticipates the day that brothers of all ages will have a renovated home at UW. "is campaign is a necessity that needs to be fu- eled. It provides alumni the opportunity to help build a foundation for future and current undergraduate members and to keep the Chapter in good standing. is is a once-in-a-life- time-opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our fraternity. With everyone's support, we will be able to turn the concept into completion." Jack has been retired and widowed for 20 years. He worked for Boeing and Unigard In- surance, designing computer systems and managing programmers. Some of Jack's favor- ite highlights from his professional career were managing a computer project to automate 500,000 homeowners' policies and developing a program to monitor the assignment of engines to specific airplanes in process. In his spare time, Jack enjoys playing tennis; studying genealogy; traveling; scouting, in which he received the Silver Bea- ver Award for service; hiking; photography; and participating in Civil War Roundtable. He has two children, Kevin and Heather, both of whom are married with two children. Jack and his partner of 18 years, Arlene, live in Seattle, Washing- ton. "I enjoy living near UW and the fraternity house. I support the university and have set up a scholarship fund for med- ical technicians in my late wife's name, Lorene, who was a medical technician."
