RED BLUFF Grant available for serving homeless population Theodore A. Bell spoke in the opera house last night with his old time vigor and earnestness. It has been six years since Mr. Bell addressed a meet- ing in this city and he has been remembered as a public speaker of splendid ability and convincing ad- dress. He was greeted with a big audience last night, and he held them atten- tively during the hour and a half that he spoke. Ev- ery reference to the name of Woodrow Wilson was answered by bursts of ap- plause that at times halted the address. While it was a repre- sentative audience of Red Bluff people it was strongly pro-Wilson, and eager to show its preference for the man in the White House. — Oct. 26, 1916 100 YEARS AGO...
