2 Lyre Notes Special activities included a welcome dinner, national chapter meeting, sisterhood luncheon, keynote speakers, educational sessions, reunion night dinner, foundation luncheon and final night dinner. Among the Alpha Nu presenters for the educational sessions were Jessi Meredith Caldera '03 on "Life After College: Panel Discussion"; Kristin Donnell '08 on "Striking on the Chords of the Lyre"; Lillian Bingenheimer Bjorseth '61 on "Networking Savvy for Women Over 50"; and Alpha Nu collegiates on "Philanthropy Events: Panel Discussion." Lou Ann Pfeifer Wilcox '75 received the Outstanding Dedication Award for her work with Alpha Nu and Alpha Chi Omega since her initiation—a well-deserved honor. The House Corporation won two awards: Risk Management Practices Award The HCB won the Risk Management Practices Award for the installation of 13 security cameras, new fingerprint locks, installation of four new fire doors and the new parking lot located closer to the chapter house. Local House Corporation Sustainability/ Green Initiative Award The HCB also won the Local House Corporation Sustainability/Green Initiative Award for completing updates from the energy audit that included the lighting changes, boiler replacement and the green initiative in flooring replacement choices. We also received the Sustainability Grant to continue work on changing out the chapter lighting to LED. "These awards are the result of our entire board and collegiate chapter work over the past couple of years," Bev Wood Nichols '75, House Corporation president, said. "Thanks to everyone for their support and hard work in making these improvements and the continued work of all the Real. Strong. Women involved with Alpha Nu to keep us on track as we Seek the Heights."
