The presentation on Human Trafficking scheduled for September 21st (Salome), 22nd (Parker), and 23rd (Quartzsite) brought to you by the La Paz County Attorney's Office & La Paz County Health Department has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a future date. The speaker, Opal Singleton, President & CEO of Million Kids and Training & Outreach Coordinator for the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force has some serious family matters that require her attention and presence at home. While we are sad we have to wait a little longer to see this won- derful presentation, our thoughts and wishes go out to Mrs. Singleton and her family. We look forward to having her in the future and will let the community know when we have those new dates. co.la-paz.az.us Workshop cancelled Join an Action Team Event "Welcome Aboard" Organizers for the Annual Soup & Chowder Festival are planning a meeting at Silly Al's on Monday September 26th at 1 pm. Enjoy some tasty treats at Silly Al's and help get things organized for the Third annual Soup and Chowder Festival, combined with Operation Hero Comfort to be held on December 10th at the QIA. Any folks coming to the Welcome Aboard will be expected to help with the plans and getting ready for that day. We are hoping to keep this going as an annual event and that it will grow larger each year. Thrivent is providing the funds to Pay for the Pizza as a thank you for agreeing to help make this year's event SUPER. We would like to get the commu- nity involved and make it an annual community event for the good of all. And also to provide funds and mate- rials for the two charities. Limited space is available, so please contact Pam Caskey if you would like to reserve a space for some wonder- ful pizza. Call Pam 603-834-0647.
