MEET OUR PARTNERS Introducing Our Talented Team T he best way to ensure a great outcome is to work with only the best people—and that's just what we're doing! Here's a quick introduction to the professionals who are working to build our future. It starts with the brothers helping us make the many decisions needed then carrying through, and we've been blessed with the best. Steve Lipe '86 X1261 is heading up the construction committee, and brings a career of on-point experience to the table. Steve founded Lipe Property Company in Chicago in 2001 and has been developing real estate in Chicago since 1994. He knows exactly what needs to be done, and how best to do it. Steve has the support of many others, also with exactly the experience needed. Dale Miller '73 X985 spent a career in commercial construction with S. M. Wilson in St. Louis, and gives us real-world insights that keep us in front of project. Terry Sears '75 X1015 brings his career- long experience managing complex projects for Caterpillar and has helped keep the critical financial side of construction and operation in balance. The great design for our new facility was no accident, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Treanor Architects of Lawrence, Kansas. Headed by Principal Steve Malin and supported by Will Robarge, Treanor brought us a depth of Greek system design experience and has shown great respect for the unique beauty of our original, and now our new, house. We chose the best architects and got the best result! And that's true for our contractors as well. The Alumni Association invested great effort to select the best builder, with the right experience and commitment. We selected Wells & Wells Construction, headed by Daniel Wells and project manager Brett Pierce. Headquartered in Champaign, a local firm with deep roots in the community, W&W is today one of the leading firms in the region with a focus on student housing and multi-family projects. Dan, a 1985 graduate of UIUC with a degree in mechanical engineering, started the company in 1989 with the mission of providing superior craftsmanship and service at a competitive price. Their priority is to meet the client's expectations for quality, schedule, and budget—and we're confident they'll do just that! We are indebted to many others whose support is making this exciting project possible. Bryan Banks and his colleagues at Busey Bank in Champaign worked closely with us to provide the needed financing, and our fraternal friends at Pennington & Company have given us indispensable support with our fundraising and communication needs. And of course the continuing support we get from the University through its Deans' Office, and from Lambda Chi Alpha International Headquarters, is indispensable. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! So join us in saying thanks to our friends and partners who are helping us to build for Our Next 100 Years at Chi Zeta. We've chosen the very best, and we know you'll be pleased with the results at our new house dedication in Fall 2017!
