The group was headed by former Chapter Advisor greg Budney '06, who served as the alumni delegate in the business sessions. Chapter President patrick holden '18, Sergeant-at-Arms michael Faust '18, and Service and Philanthropy Chairman Andrew Thompson '18 attended as well. Michael and Andrew served as undergraduate delegates for the business sessions and Patrick served on the ritual review board. He reviewed parts of the ritual that needed updates and changes and brought suggestions to the legislative body during the final business session. Not only does Karnea do the good work of the fraternity, it also offers the chance for both undergraduates and alumni to expand their knowledge and skills in various parts of the fraternity. Whether it was a session on improving recruitment strategies or interfraternal relations, all attendees were offered opportunities to learn in ways they might not have otherwise. lee Corso, Alpha Tau Omega, Florida State '54, a staple on ESPN's College Football Gameday, gave an entertaining and inspiring keynote address on the first night. One of the most notable sessions, however, was a presentation by Jud horras, Beta Theta Pi, Iowa State '97, president of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). He discussed the complete revamping of the NIC after the stagnation and controversial decisions of the former administrators in the organization. In front of a standing room-only audience, he laid out the five priorities of "NIC 2.0" and how how fraternities must band together to create a better brand for Greek life. Much of Karnea was full of business and work, but there was still some room for fun and relaxation. The half-acre pool, par-3 golf course, and paddle board/kayak facilities at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort allowed for brothers of all chapters to bond in new ways. But, that was not all; on Friday afternoon, all attendees went to Magic Kingdom in Disney World, bringing the Delt brotherhood to the public at the most "magical place on earth." Seeing the passion and leadership coming from the Arch Chapter and all of Central Office makes me want to put more work into our own chapter. While it was both fun and inspiring, I felt myself growing as a fraternity man and leader during the four- day experience. It is not something I take for granted, and I will keep this with me the rest of my life." – michael Faust '18 "I really appreciated the seminars and opportunities for learning. The sessions clearly outlined the success and progress Delta Tau Delta has had nationally in recent history, and I felt that the seminars equipped us, the undergraduate members, with what we needed to carry that progress forward. I am incredibly grateful to be in a chapter that goes above and beyond the national standard of undergraduate representation at events like Karnea, affording us the opportunity to better invest in Beta Zeta's future." – Andrew Thompson '18 "Going to Karnea was an incredible opportunity. To see the size of the fraternity in a regional setting is exciting, but to experience the national and alumni presence was something that made me even more proud to be a Delt." – patrick holden '18 Steve Vedra '02, Greg Budney '07, Patrick Holden '18, Andrew Thompson '18, and Michael Faust '18 at Karnea.
