BQP THETA DELTA DRAGON Beta Theta Pi at The Ohio State University • Fall 2016 UNDER CONSTRUCTION Theta Delta Needs Your Support to Reach Our $5 Million Fundraising Goal Brothers, Help Us Today with a Pledge to This Necessary Project E arlier this summer, a number of Theta Delta alumni had the opportunity to witness the demolition of our Chapter House. Many were excited to see that our project is in progress. We've made a lot of progress already. Even though the house is still under construction, and will be through the rest of this fall semester and into the spring, we've been amazed by the transformation that has already taken place. PROJECT PROGRESSES ON TIME We're moving right along. We completed the most important part of the project, both physically and metaphorically, when we laid the foundation. Our project manager is doing a great job and the project is on time so far. The Campaign for Theta Delta also continues to move forward. However, with both projects we have a lot of work left to do, and our job has really only just begun. PARTICIPATION RATE NEEDS TO IMPROVE We are extremely thankful for the response of 95 generous donors, which represents 7% of our total active alumni. However, we need the support of every Theta Delta if we are going to raise the remaining $2.7 million needed to reach our $5 million fundraising goal. The average Greek fundraising campaign has 25% participation among alumni, and our campaign has less than 10%. We want this to be a collaborative effort across all generations, and we know we can improve our participation rate. To those who have not yet made a gift, we strongly encourage your thoughtful consideration of this project. Participation is our main focus now, and gifts of all levels are much appreciated. This campaign is vital to our success and your help is needed immediately so that we may reach our goal as quickly as possible. The facts to the right might help in the consideration of your own level of support. • Pledges may be stretched over a five-year giving period, if desired. Many brothers have taken advantage of this opportunity to maximize their giving potential. • All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in the new Chapter House. WE KNOW WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER We knew this was a big goal when we set out to accomplish this project. But we also know the power of brotherhood. We know the alumni of Theta Delta are great men and if we band together, we can accomplish great things together. Our new colony members were recruited knowing the Men of Principle initiative is the only way they will succeed and they had to buy-in to that ideal from day one. They are a terrific group of young men and they are excited about the future of Beta at Ohio State. This is a new Fraternity, with excellent members who believe in the new Theta Delta. They and the advisors are investing much time into making this a great colony and Chapter. But we don't want great; we want extraordinary. In order for Theta Delta to be extraordinary, we must provide our members with a new and functional home that meets their needs. We need you to invest in this vison with us. A pledge today shows our members that you are with them and that you support them. As Theta Delta alumni, we must stand together to show others what we can do in the face of adversity. We are a team; let's show them what a true brotherhood and team can do. Today, we're asking you to join us in this capital campaign. Our Theta Delta is more than worthy of your investment. Yours in _kai_, Dominic Bagnoli '85 David Wright '67 Campaign Chairman Honorary Chairman
