ALUMNI UPDATE
Chapter Celestial
William E. Drier '55 entered Chapter Celestial
on June 21. He followed Ohio State sports and
cheered on the Buckeyes until the end. Bill was a
family man who would be found on the weekends
at the Hall of Fame Swim Club cheering his son
to the Olympic Trials or out fishing on the family
boat. He loved his antique wooden Chris Crafts
and became a prized collector. He enjoyed the
yacht club and the serenity of Lake Dora, and
his beautiful home on boat house row. Bill will
be remembered for his joie de vivre, sincere
kindness, and humor. He is survived by his wife,
Maryellen; children, David and Dinah; grandson,
Devon; and two stepdaughters.
Alumni News
Ron J. McCormick '58 reports that he tries
to remain fit, healthy, and involved. He enjoys
salmon and steelhead fishing, and travels with
his wife, Carol. They have five children, and
enjoy visiting them, their grandchildren, and
great-grandson. Ron and Carol live in Grants
Pass, Ore.
John "King" Stratton '59 moved to Reynolds
Plantation in Greensboro, Ga., and built a new
house on a five-acre lot on Lake Oconee. He and
his wife, Judith, live within 90 minutes of one
daughter and two grandsons in Atlanta, and a
day's drive of their other daughter and son and
three other grandchildren in Louisville. E-mail:

Kenneth Frick '65 lives in Grasonville, Md. He
sailed south with his wife of 40-plus years in 2005
and cruised the Caribbean for nine years on their

Alan M. Fisher, M.D. '66 and his wife, Marlene,
celebrated their 49th anniversary this year. They
have two beautiful children and two adorable
grandchildren. Together they enjoy kayaking,
camping, traveling in their RV, hiking, and
exercising. Alan and Marlene live in Ridgefield,

Thomas T. Fox, M.D. '67 and his wife of 43
years, Jane, live in Dublin, Ohio, and have
three children, Tom, Lori, and Tony, and 10
grandchildren. He practiced radiology for 35

Joe O. Richer '69 and his wife, Susan, live in
Maumee, Ohio, and have two daughters, Jennifer
and Erin, and six grandchildren. "We have lots of
sporting events to attend! Summer weekends are
spent at the lake house in Michigan (sorry!), and
we continue to follow our football Buckeyes!"

Peter D. Braun '81 lives in Louisville, Colo.,
with his wife, Megan, and son, Oliver. He enjoys
the Colorado lifestyle by playing tennis, skiing,
hiking, and biking. Peter is on the board of
directors of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce,
and was a "celebrity" on "Dancing with the

Scott C. Ward '01 is a sales engineer at One
Line Power Systems Inc. He and his wife,
Shannon, moved from San Francisco to San Jose
in 2015 with their children, Addison and Liam.
