Mrs. Whisnant her husband, Rev. Marvin Whisnant; her par- ents Willard Buren and Miller (Millie) McSwain; three broth- ers, Phate, Ernest, and Buren McSwain; and two sisters, Hester Lovelace and Lelabell Washburn. She is survived by her children, Michael (Betty) of Easley, SC, Mitchell (Vickie) of Kingsport, TN, Patricia (Jim) Delano of Fort Worth, TX, Nathan (Tammy) of Henderson, KY, and Helen (Gene) Hall of the home; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Double Springs Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Joseph Andrew Bradshaw, Sr. age 89, of Cherryville, NC, formerly of Sylva, Jackson Co., passed away on June 9, 2016. A memorial service was held at Victory Hill Baptist Church with full military honors. Mr. Bradshaw served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Teague Bradshaw; and his parents, George and Bessie Bradshaw. Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his children, Cheryl B. Jones of Boca Raton, FL; Wanda B.
