Mr. Joseph Dudley Hall, Jr., age 77, of Forest City, NC, went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2016. Funeral servic- es were held at the Riverside Baptist Church. Interment fol- lowed in the church cemetery with military honors. Mr. Hall served our country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Dudley Hall, Sr. and Marvis Elaine Strohmeyer Hall. Dr. Sherlin served our country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the European Theater. He was preceded in death by first wife, Margaret Beason Sherlin; his parents, Avenor Alvin Sherlin and Elsie Emma Deane Sherlin; his infant son, Jerry Lee Sherlin; step brother; Robert Sherlin; and step sisters, Elizabeth Westmoreland and Martha Randall.
