First, he got a call from a tour bus operator named Linda, who asked him if he would be able to accommodate a busload of tourists from the U.K., Austra- lia and India at the store. The bus, which is part of Cosmos Archers Tours from Littleton, Colorado, was picking the 48 passengers up in Los Angeles and they were head- ing to the Grand Canyon. One of the previous tour buses from this same company had visited the store several months ago, and were so impressed with the store and Paul's piano music that they told the next tour they should stop there too. When they arrived, they all crowded into the store and listened to some boogie/woogie music. They then looked around to see what was available in rocks, music and books before they loaded up again for the rest of their journey. They took lots of photos of the store and Paul, and said they had a great time. Then about a week ago, Paul re- ceived a call from Eric Kellen-Gar- cia, a world class portrait and ad- vertising photographer based in Quartzsite's June Erickson is cel- ebrating 100 years! Please help the chil- dren in your community start the school year with their needs met. Thank you. Arizona Western College is offer- ing summer youth programs here in Quartzsite. These programs are free of charge and they start this July. We have Summer Drive-in Movies on July 11th & July 13th from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Youth will be able to watch a movie, have dis- cussions and complete worksheets that are related to the movie being watched. We will also have Story Time on July 18th & 20th from 2:00pm- 3:00pm. Youth will listen to a story being and they will use their cre- ativeness to draw what they think the story will look like on paper. Typically viewed as a time for rest and relaxation, the long days of summer can present challenges for families and children looking to fill those hours with safe, engaging activities that won't stretch tight budgets. High-quality program- ming is particularly critical for school-age kids who might oth- erwise fall victim to the "summer slump," which could hurt their academic performance when they return to school in the fall, accord- ing to the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. http://www.mott. org/news/news/2014/20140725- Flint-Summer-Programs Give us a call if you are interested at 928-927-8299 The public is invited to attend a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the re-opening of Moon Mountain Ave. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 15 at 10:00 am at Mountain Quail Cafe, 490 N.
