Welcome, New Members Cody Goyer / Prosper, Texas Chris Kotch / Keller, Texas Nick Poulos / Verdigris, Okla. EPSILON OMICRON NEWS Alpha Tau Omega Epsilon Omicron Chapter 9300 North May Ave. #400-205 Oklahoma City, OK 73120 Address Service Requested THIRTEEN YEARS ON CAMPUS Meet Epsilon Omicron's House Director, Shelby Lane-Clanahan O riginally from Oklahoma City, Epsilon Omicron's House Director, Shelby Lane-Clanahan, has been a part of the Oklahoma State University campus for 13 years. While working as the executive administrative assistant in the dean's office, Shelby was approached with the unique opportunity to become the House Director for ATW. "One day while at work, Thomas Jordan '63, who happened to be a retired professor and the advisor for the ATW Chapter since the '70s, approached me and told me that someone had given him my name and that they thought I would be a good fit for ATW," she said. "I met with the Housing Corporation, and after a couple of subsequent meetings I was the new ATW house director." Shelby works full- time for both the Chapter and the University. As the house director, Shelby has loved the opportunity to watch the men of Epsilon Omicron grow and develop in their fraternity experience. "When you live with 100 young men, there is never a dull moment. You are dealing with many different personalities, but overall it's nice to see the diversity come together as they mesh as one big, happy family," she said. Shelby enjoys being able to share meals, attend performances, and provide assistance in decision-making with men, but most of all, "I have loved being their mom away from home and being able to help them flourish into young respectable men." Along with her two full-time positions, Shelby dedicates her time to volunteer work. She is very active in: Coaches vs. Cancer, raising money for cancer research; Pete's Pet Posse, which she and one of her dogs had to go through extensive training and are qualified as a therapy dog team for the OSU campus; and disaster relief mission trips in and out of the country. Shelby enjoys traveling—taking students on study abroad trips to Spain, Australia, and Ireland this year alone—ballroom dancing, photography, swimming, and decorating.
