If you have any interest in assisting with this program, please contact me using the information below. One of our greatest assets as a fraternity nationally is our alumni support network, and Indiana Gamma is a prime example of a Chapter with a strong alumni base. If you are looking for ways to get more involved with the Chapter, let me know so we can find a role that best suits your interests. We have made great strides in positive, continuous growth, and we look to continue that trend through the 2016-17 school year. We welcome any and all support to help us achieve our goals. Phi Alpha, Andrew Cowie '18 agcowie@indiana.edu (615) 613-3049 Members Lead by Example (Continued from page 1) Join Us for the 27th Annual Indiana Gamma Alumni Association Golf Outing T he 27th annual "Red Tuohy" ΣΑΕ Indiana Gamma Alumni Association Golf Outing will once again be held at Highland Country Club on Monday, June 13. The golf outing will offer alumni from across the country the opportunity to catch up with their ΣΑΕ brothers, play a round of golf at one of Indiana's most renowned courses, and enjoy a drink and world-class meal afterwards. The golf outing is the principal fundraising event for the alumni association and proceeds go toward: • The ΣΑΕ bike team, which finished second in the 2016 race, receives approximately $2,000 in support. • Sponsoring eight Chapter members to attend the ΣΑΕ National Leadership School each summer. • Sponsoring the ΣΑΕ Homecoming and Little 500 tailgate parties. • Providing leadership and financial support to the Chapter. Please register now by contacting Dave Keller '81 at dbkeller@hfflp.com or Red Tuohy '77 at btuohy@dtblegal.com. Volunteer with Indiana Gamma I t is an exciting time to be a ΣΑΕ. Our GPA continues to be in the top tier of men's fraternities, the Chapter is as closely aligned with the university as we have been since the 1970s, the undergraduates continue to be leaders on campus and within the community, and the Little 500 team was strong enough to withstand two wrecks and still finish second overall! The undergraduate conduct and leadership continues to set the bar higher each semester—without a doubt, Indiana Gamma has risen from the ashes. After serving three years on the Housing Corporation and Alumni Association Board, I will be stepping down this summer. Anyone interested in a leadership role should reach out to Dennis McCall '84 at bdennis.mccall@gmail.com in order to be nominated at our next board meeting. It has truly been an honor to work with the existing board and those who came before me; they have all been True Gentlemen, willing to help at every turn. Please mark your calendars for the annual golf outing as it is our primary source of funding for subsidizing leadership schools for the undergraduates and the bike team. I am especially proud of the joint fundraising efforts by both the undergraduates and alumni for Habitat for Humanity in Bloomington, each group raising more than $2,500 to exceed our $5,000 goal. The undergraduates logged a significant number of hours at the worksite too. It truly is an exciting time to be a ΣΑΕ!
