"S ince graduation, it's been Phi Psi brothers who have been there for my life's biggest moments," says Daniel Harvey '00. Whether it was his wedding, the loss of a family member, or the birth of his son, it was Phi Psis who were there. That emotional connection was the starting point when Daniel assessed his reasons for giving to Texas Alpha's campaign for a new house at U.T. The new house will provide a place for the next generation of Phi Psi men to create their own lifelong friendships, and Daniel had a desire to facilitate that experience. "Most of us who have already given to the capital campaign feel a deep sense of obligation. The men who built 2401 Longview paid it forward so that we weren't saddled with debt as undergraduates. It is now our turn to give so that the chapter house is a place where lifelong bonds can be built. A financial gift means that you're making a tangible contribution to Phi Psi for several generations." "This is going to be the most impressive chapter house in the world, but we're not doing it for bragging rights. We want to attract the greatest men at the University of Texas. The goal is to have the best men coming in so that we can help them understand Phi Kappa Psi's values and responsibilities. This will lead to future leaders not only in our fraternity but also in business and our country who can create change." Robert Floyd '53 James Holcomb '53 John Notestine '53 Ben A.
