The ceremony will start at 7 p.m. It will be led by a procession of the graduates, speeches by teach- ers and board members, and the giving out of diplomas to the graduates. Come on out to the school and show your support for the students who have completed their 8th grade studies and are going on to high school. For more information, please call the school at 927-5500. Quartzsite Improvement Associa- tion (QIA) will host a new Off-Road Swapmeet beginning this fall. The new event will be held the first Sunday of the month from Decem- ber through March. Organizers are planning a great selection of new and used ATVs, UTVs, parts, Jeeps, accessories, clothing and services for the off-road community. There are plenty of spaces available for rent. For more information contact Mark Goldberg at 951-852-7815 Off-road Swap Meet planned at QIA The Town of Quartzsite is offer- ing a summer program packed with a variety of activities to keep the community's youngsters ac- tive and engaged. The six-week program will run from June 13 to July 21, leaving a few weeks after school lets out on May 26 or before it starts up again in late August for family vacations. The summer program is avail- able for children in kindergarten through 8th grades. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at the Community Center, 295 Chandler St., and includes a daily hot lunch at no cost to the partici- pants. The six-week program will have a different theme each week. The program is offered at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. It has room for 30 children with a waiting list for an additional 20 so early registration is encour- aged. Other activities this summer will include rock painting, as well as sessions on wildlife, old cars, Tai Chi and Yoga. There also will be an introduction to various musical instruments and lots of outdoor games will be available including water fun days.
